Getting synths to have more swing/groove

i use ableton so im aware of the groove functions and how to incorporate them into my tracks. i wanted to see if there was anyway to get my basses to have more swing/groove when using 3rd party plugins such as massive, etc. i feel like a lot of the LFO work i hear in recent songs have funky little off beat sounds that would easily be done with a groove, but i dont think its possible to apply ableton grooves to the lfo in massive. anyone got any tips?

i thought about just bouncing to audio in order to mess with the wave forms but i want to know if there is an easier way to achieve the swing/groove. the other idea that i had was to turn the sync rate of the LFO off in order to painstakingly modulate the free mode rate to get this sound. seems too hard though

I dont use Ableton but maybe bounce to audio, chop and assemble it off the grid? or just program you're midi off the grid to start with

Drag the curve in Massive´s LFO a bit to the right and mess around with LFO rates without sync. I`m sure there are other ways also, but this works.

You could try doing what ever you lfo is doing with an envelope, and then placing multiple notes with the swing. Or, you could duplicate your track, have one with the normal lfo, then maybe make a quieter track with an envelope (again replacing the lfo) and place the odd note here and there with swing, and maybe pan it a little.

Doesn't Ableton have its own LFO that you can assign to any parameter?

you can apply groove to any midi clip (not just drums or audio clips) in Live. just a reminder.
if you want the modulation to have groove though, you might just need to draw in/record automation with 'groove' and stay away from using LFO-s

Play your lines in w/ your own gdamn groove. Then play in your modulations with your own damn groove.

Or just hit the magic groove button. One or the other.

An easy way to get swing is put a long LFO like 4/1 on the attack of the 4 Envelope (when using massive as an example), but just slightly roll it on the attack so that it will move the attack up and down just a bit over every bar so that it will nudge the notes just barely on and off beat.

A more intensive way to get swing is to literally just go into your piano roll and move things a little before or after the beat on the grid. Little bit harder, but will get better results I'd say.
