question involving parameters in massive
Just wondering, is there any possible way to automate the amount of LFO used on a knob? like the length of circumference of the green/gray line around a knob when you put the lfo number in place. If not, is there something similar to do to make that effect? The only thing I really can think of doing is having it set as high as you need, then automating the lfo's amplitude instead, but that isn't exactly what I need, Like you can play with the amount when something is playing, inside massive, but it doesn't seem automate-able.. thanks for any help.

No, there's no way to automate that unfortunately.
There's the sidechain option, also as you said you can automate the lfo amplitude. You could also have 2 identical lfo's in opposite phase assigned to the same thing, then use another control to fade between them by controlling the lfo amplitudes.
Lastly, you could just play with the amount as desired and record your changes directly to another audio track.

no, you can't do that. try using the preformer. be creative.
first song I ever completed: Soundcloud

eh i figured it wouldn't work out that way.. I just discovered something though kind of, if you have a track and turn up the send to return track A without anything on return track A, it gives you some extra oompf, it seems like a more legit way to get some extra volume without clipping the f out of it, than solely relying on vst's volume and track voume of the instrument. . anyways.. is that "unprofessional" ? hahah
Re: question involving parameters in massive
its only 'unprofessional' when it sounds 'unprofessional'
Re: question involving parameters in massive
well, to me it sounds less "watered down" I guess than just trying to rely on one volume control (or two counting that in the vst), adds more substance sorta feel? more surface or something.. anyways.. makes me wonder how many bus set ups pro's really use these days in a given song, that seems to be where to get some power.
Re: question involving parameters in massive
yeah cause you're raising the volume.kale wrote:if you have a track and turn up the send to return track A without anything on return track A, it gives you some extra oompf
Re: question involving parameters in massive
well yeah, obviously, it just feels better for some ideas, cuz it is feeding back into the sound... it's like giving it more dimension.. just saying.

Deadmau5 actually has released a tool for this called the LFO tool, lets you modulate anything you can throw it on.

You know what you should do for dimension, bounce your whole track out and then load it in audacity, then duplicate that track and use "mix and render". If you want even more feedback dimension, shift one of the tracks 5 milliseconds ahead of the other one.
