I'm 45% through the download for the new Cubase 7 update. Anyone else getting on it?

I'd be interested to know what the new mixers features sound like - it has built in channel strips. Also what sort of cpu hit this adds.

I like it so far. There were a few glitches involving the eLicenser, but they have been sorted (for me at least). Still getting used to the new stuff. Chord track is much better than I'd originally thought. The mixer is great, but it is taking me a bit of getting used to. I've only today had time to get into it a bit.

I'd recommend it so far tho

Have you opened any of your old projects? Noticed any performance hit with the new mixer?

And what are your buffer settings like with the new ASIO guard?

I've not noticed anything different on the performance front. I upgraded to Win8 and C7 at the same time though (from win7/C6.5), so I'm not sure what the cause would be if there were differences. My studio workstation is pretty powerful, so it would probably take a lot to max it out.

I don't notice anything special with the ASIO guard. Actually I think I have it disabled at the moment. Still not sure what it is meant to do. Prevent buffer over-runs? I'll mess with the buffer settings on my interface to see how it handles.

I'm reading through the manual and plug-in reference now to figure out what else is new
