fair nuff, i see where youre coming from. while these last couple releases have been a bit less dark and moody in the way that older stuff like south london boroughs, pirates, etc were, i dont necessarily think that he'll never go for that kind of vibe again

No idea how he does it but most every release describes my life at the moment.

Can't deny that I'm a sucker for anything Burial touches, but I will agree that this release is not his best. I don't mind long tunes like the massive attack rmxs or Kindred cos they tell a story, but these tracks are really disjointed. It'd be cool to know exactly what he's going for by splicing up random tunes like this, but I guess that's just the enigma of Burial. Either way, both tracks have serious moments of brilliance.

Burial's most unremarkable release imo. I mean, as boring as Ashtray Wasp was, at least Kindred and Loner made up for it; but that's not the case here. It has some good moments (like the last few minutes of Rough Sleeper) but not enough to save it. It even reminds me in some places of his Four Tet collabs, which I found pretty :H:
This is just based on my first listen though; maybe I'll change my mind after a few more, but probably not anytime soon.

give him some time, when I listened Kindred the first time, I was a little lost because is not same like old tunes, it was different, completely diferent in some point, but the passed by and now is my favourite EP.
The work with Four Tet is REALLY awesome, but does not compare to the work you do each with their music, that's why it sounds different and very good

Look, it's understandable that my post has offended you, I apologize for that, but where I come from, I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and all this music does not exist here.
Here it is impossible to acquire the LP or EP for Hyperdub, and are vinyl or cd.
There are very few people who know Burial, and because the fact of getting their songs in mp3 is difficult, not everyone knows where to find this type of music pages.

Earlier this year I could get on cd Burial's first album, and I assure you the same guy who sold it had no idea who he was, besides paying a very, very expensive for that cd. How to get an idea, it's like you pay $ 100 for a cd. seriously.

So good, I apologize if I offended someone by my post about the new songs, I'm going big fan of William Bevan and this re thrilled me, as I am collecting money to purchase the cd "Untrue" and vinyl "kindred" , you will pay is very expensive but worth it.

I hope you can understand and forgive everyone for all this, just wanted to clarify and not look bad

fuck off with that bullshit. hyperdub sells the mp3s directly from their store, using paypal. you don't even need a paypal account anymore, just a debit/credit card. last i checked, they had both in argentina.

god i hate this entitled mp3 pirate culture, trying to justify their shit with bullshit excuses. you want his music but don't want to pay for it. the sooner you admit that, the sooner you can get on with the rest of your pikey-life.

I'm not crying, I can buy the mp3 in the page of hyperdub, but in my case I don't have credit card to buy it... so I'll wait the next year to buy the vinyl in some record store... I like to live in England so I can have more access to all this music and not wait months or years to buy a cd

and how exactly does that justify posting illegal download links in a thread dedicated to a new release? jesus, at least give the label a fucking chance. it's not even released yet on vinyl/cd.

ahh the good old days when people actually waited until they had the money to buy something rather than expect everything given to them.

its nice its nice. with burial a lot of people assume that every previous release should be topped. almost like a set precedence for every tune he releases. swear this only applies to him yet never for any other producer.

blame kode9 for this gay '1/2' hype which then leads to ppl moaning when they aren't feeling it. i like these tunes though. only downside is that it sounds like bare projects have been mashed together.

I don't dislike the new shit because it isn't as good as the previious release, or because it's 'something different'. I really don't care. I don't like it (and Kindred) cuz it's on some cheesy ass shit and Burial was supposed to be above cheese.

ok man, no need to throw shit, I have no credit card to have songs in mp3 not my fault, I do not want to justify "my shit" if you use your head to get in place of another person who is not there, and no "credit card" and do not have access to not only get Hyperdub songs but almost 90% of the múscia there, do not talk crap man.

then get a job, earn some money, join a bank, apply for a debit/credit card, then you can join the rest of the civilised world and actually purchase things you care about.

like the previous guy said, crying poverty doesn't automatically make you entitled to everything. it doesn't give you the right to share links to music on a popular web forum, where people care about the artists and labels, especially for a release that literally was released a few hours ago. now get banned, thx.
