haha, was a bit of a joke. But the middle section of Truant (5min in?) reminded me of the track souvlaki space station.

Got my vinyl copy in the post yesterday. Really liking where he's taking his sound.

Sounds so good on a big system - really nice pressing too.

Drove home from work at 2am tonight with Truant blasting, perfect vibes for that time of night... but then the bass dropped and I was absolutely floored. Was not expecting that at all, might be one of the heaviest things I've heard all year. Burial isn't usually something I'd choose to play on my car sub, but I think this'll be getting regular rotation. Big release, so far I definitely prefer the Kindred Ep though.

Really like both tunes, it's not Burial's best release ever but it's far from his worst, this is gonna be getting a lot of play this winter and I'm expecting the tunes to grow on me more and more as Kindred's did. Also the bass in this is crazy, didn't expect it at all but it comes so heavy.

The only good part of Ashtray Wasp was the part that originally leaked. You know, this. That part is fucking amazing though. Made me really fucking hyped about Kindred.

The intro.. especially that melody that is similar to the one in 'Loner' is supreme lamitude. Yuck.

Although I loved all of Ashtray Wasp that part at the end gets me every time...perfect way to end a record.

Not too crazy about the other kindred tracks though.

I think nice tunes. Rough sleeper is very strange. Everytime I listen to this song I hear new sounds.

I don't know what it is with people labeling Burial as 'dubstep' , it's just not, doesn't sound like it and never was and will.

Because of albums like this…

In the beginning, he was marketed as such. I found him purely by accident from that album myself, back in 08, so that’s where I placed him too.

I no longer listen to Dubstep in any form, nor classify Burial as such. But surely Dubstep Compilation albums are a part of the reason.
