More:
Funkiness, danciness. I don't have a problem with the more ambient side of things, in fact I love it, but people like swindle, flylo, disclosure, etc have got it right.
Experimentation. Even if I don't particularly like it, I might very well buy a record that's new and different over another dungeon sleeper-esque 12"
Artists, think like Shackleton. He does it right.
GRIME WAVE - PACK UP YOUR LITTLE DUBPLATES !!!
UK Bass 130 stuff from the likes of Addison groove - fucking sick beats that are so simple yet complex yet dance-y and RAW and POWERFUL
Hessle Audio.
Stuff that manages to be very dancefloor and still melodic and powerfully emotional, stuff that I could also listen to at home and get goosebumps. Here's looking at you, Bwana! (check Bwana out if you haven't heard, SO underrated). Also, a tip of the hat to Clubroot
Burial needs to do his old thing. Kindred was okayyy, very disappointed listening to the clips of his new EP. He's doing his
thing, and I respect that, but....come on maaaan. Burial LP will always be one of my favorite.
Less:
