Soundcloud
Funny story about this tune: My moms friend barged into my room yesterday, high as hell on something, probably coke. anyway, without really asking , he threw 20 dollars at me, wanting a beat to rap over. took me like 4 hours to make, so it ended up being less than minimum wage per hour.
What do you think? this worth 20$?
Edit: I made some significant changes on this. what do you think? Also now available for download.

Definitely. Tight track. I'd give $20 at least. I was wanting to hear his rap over it though.

...Don't mind the Brostep...

Drums a bit on the weak side, lot of pop and not much else...but TBH it depends on his vocals and where they sit in the mix, so hard to say without hearing the finished product.

Thanks wub. I made some major changes to this, hopefully the drums sound stronger now.

I had another listen and TBH the drums still don't have a lot of power behind them. Just out of interest, is there any sort of compression taking place? Sounds like they may be losing their transients a bit, which could be attributed to over compression.

Yep, the kick and snare are both moderately compressed. to be honest, Im not all that familiar with compressors, and in this case, their probably hurting my drums more than anything. Im gonna take another look at the mix today, and try to finally get this thing 100% finished. thanks again for the feedback
