yeh your chest harlesden

you know how long that queue was!

seebs- sorry mate if i was doing your head in, but queues aren't really the most stimulating things in the world and i was just trying to keep myself entertained...in the future, just stick some ear plugs in or something, or alternatively, just stick yer head in

the night itself was alright, kode 9 was most definately the highlight for me.

out to everyone who had to endure me on the vino :t:

the good:
-tight mixing n good tunes from the djs, especially kode 9 and distance.
-nice presentation of mainstream dubstep (never thought i would use that phrase, but this night has proven that a mainstream does now exist.)

-bouncers being relatively cool with people smoking, only telling people to put them out, rather than kicking them out straight away

the bad:
-the queue (but no one can help that, if people come they come)
-the sound lacking in the highs and mids resulting in a slightly muddy sound, but still nice n bassy for your chestile.
-heard 'night' too many times
-rude people...
-too many rewinds even when they werent really needed...

(deleted rant)

nevertheless i had fun, and much respect to the organizers for putting it on, it sure isnt easy to manage such a big and well-attended night but it turned out alright.

large up my dubstep family each and every time, u know who u are. 8)

havent been to see dubstep in over 6 months and I cant believe how much its changed - so many dickheads in the crowd, loads of mcs taking over the music and a soundsystem that really didnt suit them, waaaaay to many rewinds. Any seriously what were they playing in the second room, some horrible bastard child of ragga housey trance. Really hope this was the exception and dmz will be a step up.

the queue has been mentioned enough, but also have to talk about the complete lack of communication between the organisers and the people in the queue, I got there at 10, but at 12 people were still joining the queue even though there was clearly no chance of them getting in.

CERTAIN PEOPLE NEED 2 COME OFF THE KEYBOARD AND REALISE THAT JUST BECAUSE THEY BEEN GOING FWD FOR 18 MONTHS THEY AIN'T SOME DUBSTEP GODFATHERS. THERES PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN IN THIS FOR FAR LONGER THAN U.

IM MORE THAN HAPPY THAT FWD+RINSE CAN PACK OUT A NIGHT AT A WEST END CLUB WITH A QUEUE GOING ROUND THE BLOCK, I AM HAPPY 4 GARAGE AND UK URBAN MUSIC. ALLOW UR DOT COTTON COMPLAINING. ITS NOT REALLY THAT.

OH SO SOMEONE STEPPED ON UR SHOE AND DIDNT SAY SORRY LOL. SOMEONE PLAYED NIGHT 6 TIMES.... LOL. HOW MANY TIMES DOES CREEPER GET PLAYED AT SIDEWINDERS ETC. HOW MANY TIMES DOES ITS THE WAY GET PLAYED AT SIMPLY GARAGE. KNOW UR FLIPPIN HISTORY! DUBSTEP AIN'T YOURS.. ITS FOR EVERYONE TO ENJOY HOW THEY WANT. ALLOW THESE HATERS WHO ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT.

THIS RAVE WAS STRICTLY VIBES. EVEN THE GOONS INSIDE WERE HAVING A GOOD TIME. I WOULD SUGGEST EVERYONE WHO READS THIS FORUM 2 GO 2 THE NEXT ONE. IVE BEEN GOING FWD AND ENOUGH OTHER RAVES FOR ENOUGH YEARS 2 SAY THAT THIS WAS A BIG MAN RAVE. WELL DONE RINSE AND FWD, BIG RESPECT 2 EVERYONE IN THE CROWD EVEN THE DUBSTEP NERDS WHO GOT THEIR SHOE STEPPED UPON.

Thought this was a top night, got there early, caught half of blims set, which was heavy. keeping it deep. Of course distance set was sik ,caught chef afterwards , proper tearing it.
All the sets where good from what i caught, only downside for me where the constant rewinds.. messing up my dance routine :D

Im not a grime lover but i think this worked well, good vybes all round.

look fwd to the next 1.

In honesty disagree with a lot of that post. Agree that dubstep fans should be more accepting of new fans and shouldn't act superior... BUT, it is annoying when new people come and are rude which is what I think alex meant really, I don't think anyone's that bothered if someone steps on there shoe but when people act like wankers its a pain in the ass right? There was much more of this than I've had at other raves, like aggressive drug dealers and some lil runt trying to pick a fight . Also hearing a song time and time again at a rave can be pretty fucking tiresome especially when it is as burnt out as Night is now.... Nothing wrong with criticism mate. Glad everything is so rose tinted for you though...

not hating on it, i love it, and i'm very happy that ive got the chance to experience this.

so i have to have been there from day 1 to be able to have an opinion on it eh? i couldnt give a fuck less if people step on my shoe, but replaying tunes over n over degrades the quality very much in my opinion, thats all im sayin.

I agree about the rewinds and Night. It's maddening. The Kode was playig some sicko tunes, the kind you just wanna ride out, but Flowdan, good as he was, kept calling for it.

Not only do you have to hear the same section of the tune over and over again, but you also end up missing the later section of a tune 'cos by that time the DJ's all set to slide home the next one.

There was a bit of aggro in there, too. A massive, massive guy with dreads was literally elbowing me in the face to dance. A guy next to me asked him to chill and he just pushed him into the wall. What the fuck is that about?!

lol I know there was probably more than one massive guy with dreads, but on the night bus both me and my friend described a similiar experience with what sounds like the same guy!y

LOL @ "the goons" again, I didn't see any Sicilians in monkey suits so I think i'll just ignore everything you said, and criticism is good, it means you know what you think and don't just follow what everyone else says cos its the cool thing to do! By the way no-one stepped on my foot although some people off the forum were getting very tactile patting people's heads etc! Personal space!

I was glad when Footsie said bere right hooks I nearly knocked some dudes baseball hat off and he didn't act agressive about it so, out to him on the vibes and he was smoking a J as well!!! No "Goon-bags" tho, thank god, was laughably trendy really!!! Dunno why people thought the issue was with how ghetto the night was, I just love Plastic people man!

Have to agree with Rudeski - less the moaning.

This was a great night for Dubstep and Grime in terms of lineup, profile and location.

Its down to YOU to keep the scene positive, remember that.
