2012: First and Last tunes

I've not yet finished my last one, so I'm not posting yet.

But share your first and last tuens of 2012, draw your comparisons? Better? Worse? Perhaps just different?

think i've improved quite a lot this year, mainly cos i moved from recording cheap korg sequencer/samplers track-by-track into cubase to ableton

My first tune is also my last tune and it isn't finished. Still working on it, but I've progressed fuckloads. I'm sort of using that tune to perfect my production.

Guess the years productions have shown a refinement in my sound of sorts, though I might need to switch things around a bit for 2013. These tracks sound like they could have come from the same EP and whilst that's not necessarily a bad thing, to have the same sound for the whole year doesn't really speak volumes with regards to my own personal development.

My first tune of the year was actually my first tune I've ever made, it's quite awful:

This year's been a bit of an up and down year in terms of producing for me, I haven't been doing it full time and as a result I've swung through a few styles; chilled dubstep/glitch to house/electro back to chilled and now onto more electro/bro type stuff. I think I'm defintiely improving though.

Here's a couple of tracks from around a year ago when I first knuckled down with production, during which I had a few months break - I don't have anything from last December/January uploaded:

The embarassing thing is I still haven't finished a track properly, that I'd consider putting up for download and have failed to make the 2 EPs I attempted

It's been a while since I've made an actual tune. I've made a shit ton of production progress, but almost absolutely no progress on getting my tunes out there.
