Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
^^ I saw it in 2D. Fun, but too long and in reality just set piece followed by set piece... felt more on Harry Potter level than LOTR level.

Yeah, that's exactly how I felt, very tedious. Although I thought Martin Freeman was actually really good as Bilbo! Not entirely sure I can be bothered with another ~6 hours of it.magma wrote:^^ I saw it in 2D. Also, Zero Dark Thirty has been getting crazy reviews! Anyone seen it yet?
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
imho people forget how boring LOTR 1 was if I have to choose between firsts of both Hobbit wins easily.

The Hobbit was created around techniques and cgi, not a story imo.
Very enjoyable, but not much of tale so to speak.
Agree with magma.
Also can't wait to see Django Unchained, Tarantino movies always offer an interesting perspective.

Reindeer Games
Two Theron tit moments, other than that: drawn out with a stupendous ending. Expected a lot more.

Killing Zoe was Roger Avery though, who was co writer of Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, and Pulp Fiction.
Tarantino had nothing to do with it however.

Just watched Looper. Thought it was pretty good.
Definitely not "this decades The Matrix" though, don't know where they got that idea from.

Yes Looper is a big film.
Watched Moon again last night as it was on BBC... seriously love that film. The girlfriend had some different ideas about it too which is always good to hear.

This might just be the best Shakespeare adaptation I've ever seen. I'd never seen/read Coriolanus before so some of the speeches/language took a bit of concentration but it really is utterly stunning. Good story (for once, Shakespeare threw in some twists!), visually brilliant and acted flawlessly. Ralph Feinnes does a hell of a job drecting and playing the lead. Watch this.
