I have a similar set up (mic in rather than USB), it just takes a while to fiddle around. For a lot of tunes (especially dub 7"s), I tend to have the bass on the mixer at about 20% and then make it up in bass boost afterwards. Sounds pretty good just for standard listening, probably never gonna DJ with them as I've only got vinyl decks. Just keep fiddling around.

Kind of want to start a vinyl ripping tips thread so people can share their thoughts or whatever, not sure if it'll get locked like the legit file share thread though.

Yeah I tried the mic in but it wasn't playing nice with audacity for some reason, and then I remembered that it came with a USB plug

I had to download a couple of new audio drivers to get mic in to work.

when i'm in a bad mood, almost all new music sounds awful

guess i should pull out some old favorites that i can't possibly hate rather than digging through my inbox like usual

maybe i just need a good cup of tea
