Sennheiser 280 HD Pro - Good or Bad?

Post by Filthor » Wed Dec 26, 2012 7:02 am

I just got some Sennheiser 280 HD pro headphones for christmas, and I like their sound over all. They are flat response, so I assume they are good for monitoring/mixing. I have heard nothing but good about them on youtube reviews, but I want some more input, from producers on the DSF!

I have the same exact pair. I use them for my person recording/mixing/mastering/ and general play back as well as using them in my classes for audio production, sound design, and studio recording. I like them. I've noticed tho, that if your mixing, make sure to go back and forth from headphones to your monitors and back again. Only because I've noticed with the Sennheiser i have and generally all headphones i've used in class. The Sub Bass, or just bass guitars if you have them, are a little hard to hear. so just be sure to A/B it, or you'll bring you sub/bass up to high mudding up the track.

They're great for the price range.
