Oyaars - Solaris

Post by gravious » Tue Aug 21, 2007 9:03 pm

WHAT!

Distance just played this on rinse.

Normally I don't really go for these hype thread things, but this tune is stupidly heavy...

Nice one

Is this the one that sounds like a David Lynch score with the Papua New Guinea sample?

Glad people are checking this stuff out.

oi, the whole thread for me? feel flattered!

Image

it's quite odd, cuz solaris is actually my very first dubstep tune, and despite it's 3/4 rhythm pattern it has been played out quite a lot.

+ didn't catch distance's show, but i'm pretty sure he still hasn't figured out how to pronounce my name, has he? i'm sure gonna get him tongue-tied

solaris was kinda supposed to come out on a polish netlabel as a digital release, tho - things seem to have kinda stuck over there for a quite a while already. as there was no official contract, i might try to look for another ways to release it.

oi, and thank you all for the very kind words. if i ever meet any of you, i'l buy you a drink

i was kinda surprised, but Kosheen liked it too -
What talent have you discovered so far with the competition?
[Kosheen] Our favourtie mix came from an artist called Oyaarss para. It was a very dark electronica mix which is probably something that we wouldn't necessarily ask for, but the mix sounded great.
