no i can comment on leeds but that's because i rarely go out in leeds.

i've seen it before though and it was no different from when i saw bboys breaking at a hip hop night, or when i was in the states watching people crip walk on the pavement with the trunk popped on their car..

or how people used to dance to motown at wigan pier...

footworking to, well, footwork / juke..

how the french dance to electro house

the flemish dancing to jumpstyle / hardstyle like a fucking retarded chicken

morris dancers...

if you're intimidated then move out of the way. simples.

this is stupid, my mate 'shuffles' a lot at house nights but he doesnt do it in a 'look at me im fucking sick at dancing' way, he doesn't do it on stage or in battles, he just loves to groove to house music and thats it. i actually think his dancing is sick, he just goes to the back of the crowd where there is space and boogies all night, whats wrong with that? if anything i think the house scene needs more of it, its better than people fistpumping or moshing

I get all of that, but i swear these guys are a new breed  literally there all the same obnoxious stnuc & i hate to stereotype but it really is true for London partys

And it's not so much intimidated, it's more that you don't want to be fighting at a night.

And i don't think you should condone it by just saying don't go near them

Let the people dance however they want to dance. That's pretty much the most central tenet of rave culture. Are we all supposed to only pick dance moves from an approved list of steps now?

Okay forget about the dancing, that was tongue in cheek.

My problem & argument is dickheads at house nights being aggressive & making you feel like you're in essex

Never really noticed a problem, but then I'm used to being on dancefloors that turn into moshpits as much as bass-meditation sessions - it takes all sorts to make the world go round... a few people footworking shouldn't really raise an eyebrow, but if you've noticed things getting aggy I can only suggest you try better clubs. I've loved the return of actual dancing tbh... it's great to see people coming out with proper steps. The first couple of footwork sessions I went to even ran informal dance classes before the nights... the people LOVED it.

The only time people have ever properly annoyed me on a dancefloor was when a stranger landed on my friend's head in a rubber dinghy that his mates had launched from a few people back at Glade a few years ago. That was a bit much.

Yeah i think thats it tbf, need to go to different clubs.

It's just after a few years of going to certain clubs, with a certain group of friends, it sorta become's like your 'thing'. & It's just a shame now that we don't really feel like going anymore.

In all fairness it is some of the more bait places, like we normally go Egg Saturday night and then wait around in the morning for the day party at Fuse - 93 feet east.

& according to that shuffling fb page they're renowned for twats

The only issue I can see with something like this is if the folk doing it are like forcing people out of the way with there moves. If you can do it where it's not gonna affect anyone then who gives a fuck what they are doing.

MC shouting fuck off? Pokes.

Agent, you seem to have a serious issue with Essex, everything alright mate? This is a safe environment, you can talk to us.

Just read through the thread properly and far too much of this applies to me.

I think I'm just going to quietly dougie towards the back of the room. Sorry Agent 47.

I don't see what's remotely 'underground' about a bunch of socialite fashionista students busting the hippest moves they saw on the internet to inoffensive handbag-house music...
