I remember working at a Hollywood Video and recommending Event Horizon to anyone who had no clue what to rent.
I got called every name in the book and slur due to that.
Fucking love that movie.
Sam Neil + anything Lovecraft = nightmares.
best movie since hellraiser

The fact that it was a masterwork with an ambiguous ending left to viewers mind.johney wrote:What about?vishes wrote:Surely you must be joking?johney wrote:Just watched 2001, i'm craving for the sequel now
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
I'd be interested in reading the full series of books but I doubt the books or the sequel come close to 2001. it's very difficult to argue that it's not the best film ever.deadly habit wrote:The fact that it was a masterwork with an ambiguous ending left to viewers mind.johney wrote:What about?vishes wrote:Surely you must be joking?johney wrote:Just watched 2001, i'm craving for the sequel now

Every Kubrick movie is his best (the man was a god of film making) , it's like me arguing Drive needs a sequel since their is a second book.

I still think A Clockwork Orange was his best film.

I've seen enough of the sequel, 2010, to know that I don't need to see any more of it. It could be worse though and that has no bearing on how good the book for 2010 is.cloquet wrote:I'd be interested in reading the full series of books but I doubt the books or the sequel come close to 2001. it's very difficult to argue that it's not the best film ever.deadly habit wrote:The fact that it was a masterwork with an ambiguous ending left to viewers mind.johney wrote:What about?vishes wrote:Surely you must be joking?johney wrote:Just watched 2001, i'm craving for the sequel now

I think 2001 is probably his finest work - A clockwork orange & strangelove are a close second & third.

2001 is a masterpiece, Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket ring true to me due to being in military.

Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
I'm just pointing out the influence hellraiserhad on cinema. Shit didn't look like that BH. Much like how the matrix influenced everything that came after it. And perhaps with some slight quantum weirdness before it with dark city
Re: Secret Ninja Movie Club (aka what have you watched latel
I think 2001: A Space Odyssey is overrated. Visually stunning, but content lacking. In a Science-Fiction sense, it would probably not even make my top 5 (but would sit just outside though).
