New to producing dubstep :P Got some questions..

I am new to dubstep producing, and I want to produce some simple dubstep first and I am using reaper, I want to install plug ins, but I just dunno how to install and what plugin should I install and how do I install?

1. Put them in a directory like C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins
(Some plugins install themselfs in C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins if nothing else is choosen

2. Select this directory in Reaper under Options - Preferences - Plug-Ins - VST and click Rescan

But which plug ins for dubstep? I have no idea which plugins for dubstep. Also can u tell me what is the extension of plugins? dll? or what?

There are no specific dubstep plugins, and if they are then they are most likely a rip off.

There are synths which makes sounds, and effects which do specific things like reverb, delay, flanger, glitch/stutter, compression etc

I thought Reaper came with some stock plugins, the ReaPlugs suite?

Reaper does come w/ plugins. No synths though I don't think.
