Why would buying downloads get you noticed? I don't agree with any of the "buy plays/comments/likes" etc schemes but surely one where you buy comments or plays would be more worthwhile in terms of "showing off" to the general populus?

by paying money your just using currency instead of time to expand your visibility. That being said I suspect there is an inverse correlation between talent and the propensity to engage in such currency for comment schemes.

It's always pretty obvious when someone in the top tracks section has used one of those services. I guess you technically will get more listens, but at what cost? A bunch of fake comments or downloads is pretty obvious and not cool at all.

I just wish I would have thought of this shit. So many shitty trustafarian producers I coulda made a buck on ...all the while sitting back and working on my own tunes.

1) Can't you just keep clicking 'download' yourself on your tunes? (and this only is a good idea if you have something more than a free account, lol)
2) If your tunes don't get big by themselves the natural way, purely paying to get them heard is still counter-active as still nobody will give a shit.
