Re: What game are you playing?
I love my fightstick, Hori and Qanba off the top of my head are the only ones that make sticks that play on 360/PS3/PC out of the box.
Otherwise you have to pop in a dual mod (which I did with my stick) and this PCB http://www.focusattack.com/phreakmods-c ... stick-pcb/
Think I'm going to be ordering silent buttons next.
I can talk fighting games and arcade sticks all day so don't get me started heh.

i never played SF2 in the arcade so i never got used to using those joysticks.. when i do try to use them i am pretty crap. I have yet to find anything i like better for playing that than a plain old snes controller.

Re: What game are you playing?
if you like mad shoot em ups you should check out a game called vanquish.skwiggo wrote:^cheers! i remember seeing an ad for that and it looked pretty cool will check it out
i really loved it, gameplay and graphics run so so smooth and sliding across the floor in slow motion to dodge a massive incoming fuck off laser beam from a giant boss is thrilling and a lot of fun. Just don't expect a massive game or a lot of variety. but trust me when i say it's a blast and i can only imagine what vanquish 2 will be like if/when it comes out.

i don't think he's quite grasped the idea of punctuation yet.
or the use of paragraphs.
or sentences for that matter.

It does take a couple weeks to get used to a stick if you've never used one before, but it's worth it, that or getting a pad that has 6 face buttons at least.imami wrote:i never played SF2 in the arcade so i never got used to using those joysticks.. when i do try to use them i am pretty crap. You can usually find sticks for cheap on craigslist time to time or just get a WWE brawlstick and replace the parts and art to have a quality one for cheap.
I got mine for $160 on sale during the Street Fighter 25th anniversary sale, but it's also the most expensive one put out by Madcatz.
It's worthwhile to get a stick if you play tons of fighting games or for MAME and arcade emulation.
I love playing stuff with friends online through GGPO and Supercade, still some nice scenes for Third Strike and a lot of older fighters.

Installed the iCEnhancer with Better City Textures and it looks amazing. Trying to get the Realistic Cars Mod to work but doesn't seem to be having it.Electric_Head wrote:Go download the hi res texture packs for GTA.JimmaJamJamie wrote:Looking forward to it, after hearing all the problems the PC port of GTA IV has and now being able to have everything turned to maximum and still getting 45-60 fps is really satisfying.
