Forthcoming on Loveless Records, 4th of February, is the latest effort by George Kroustallis, better known as Minorstep; an EP simply entitled ‘You’. Based in Athens, Greece, he is definitely becoming one to watch. Incorporating elements of future garage into his productions of late, he adds his own twist of beauty to every track, this release being no exception. Effortlessly blending the off-kilter percussion and haunting vocals typical of garage, with breathtaking soundscapes and distant, gentle instrumentation, he has created something that is more than just the sum of it’s parts – something that should appeal to many an audience.
‘You’ features four tracks of deliciously mellow vibes, packed full of lustful vocal sampling, crisp percussion and delicate instrumentation that will keep you coming back for more. It represents an incredible effort on Minorstep’s part, and is certainly some of his finest work to date.
