First day back at school in Birmingham , ENGLAND. UK
The teacher began calling out the names of the pupils:-
"Mustafa Al Eih Zeri ? " "Here"
"Achmed El Kabul ? " "Here"
"Fatima Al Hayek ? " "Here"
"Ali Abdul Olmi ? " "Here"
"Mohammed Bin Kadir ? " "Here"
"Ali Son al En” - silence in the classroom.
"Ali Son al En" - continued silence as everyone looked around the room.
The teacher repeated the call.
A girl stood up and said, "Sorry, teacher. I think that's me. It's pronounced Alison Allen."

Certain towns and cities are seen to have more Asian communities than others though, Birmingham, Leicester, Bradford/Leeds, etc.Lye Form wrote:Isn't that every city in the UK?garethom wrote:Quite a lot of Asian people in Birmingham/Quite a few highly concentrated Asian areas in Birmingham.Lye Form wrote:Lol why Birmingham?Electric_Head wrote:Not sure if this is just casual racism but it made me laugh.

No, rubbing it in would be mentioning that the flight time is only an hour to Ibiza from Madrid, and flight back to Almeria is 35mins.
