Killing Them Softly

Neo noir with Brad Pitt, Ray Liotta and James Gandolfini. Enjoyed it overall, felt the economy discussion political backdrop was a bit played out.

Yeah agree, that was the only thing I didn't really enjoy about it. Was a lot better film than I expected though.

Just watched Memento for the first time.
Its really good but god damn it gets so confusing. I think I really need to watch it a second time to fully understand it.

Haha optimistic. One of 4 films I've ever rated 10/10. I've watching it 5/6 times and still notice things I didn't before. There is a version where its not set backwards, I only advise you watch this after at least watching the original 3 times. I've advised this film to people and they've watched it once, been confused and watching the other version.. they've always come out less impressed.

I'm curious, what were the other films you rated 10/10 ?

How had I never got round to watching this? Brilliant.

Good. Very good at times, but incredibly uncomfortable watching at others. I had a bit of a sense of humour failure for the first hour or so... the whole theatre seemed to be laughing at parts where I couldn't seem to even spot a joke. Jamie Foxx is brilliant.

Samuel L. Jackson's utterly disgusting... really quite a performance.

True Romance is a great film, James Gandolfini needs to get more roles, isn't he in a film with Brad Pitt that's out at the moment?

Also, i'm still a bit annoyed at myself for being so clueless at the end of American Psycho.

Yeah I read about that version on imdb. But you're right, I want to watch the original again first before I watch that one. And probably need to watch it more than just 1 more time indeed.
Seriously great film though, very well done.

And yeah, what are the other 3 films?

He was probably one of the best character TBH...alcoholic assassin who used to be a badman. Has some fucking choice lines in a couple of scenes

I'll give it a watch, is there any nudity in it? or drug references?

Won't watch it in the cinema here then, thanks for the heads up.
