id argue it was never really much to talk about in the first place

I actually really enjoyed "Leaving". So many people on the comments are hating on it saying shit like "wtf is this?!" lol Just proving once again how narrow minded a lot of his fans are.

You are correct sir, most of his fans only know him for his very popular tracks "Scary Monsters...", "First of the Year", "Make It Bun Dem" and so on etc,.

They immediately think of Skrillex as purely Dubstep.

I've listened to his stuff since he was under the alliases "Sonny" because my ex at the time was into Sonny Moore since FFTL.

Past that; most kids these days want Skrilelx and they think Skrillex is Dubstep. It's all about the wub wubs and the transformer sex and "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" is their God.

It saddens me really because I like him when he was doing a lot of fidgety glitch and house around the period of "Twipz" to Skrillex's EP "My Name Is Skrillex." After all that everything just changed. My favorite song by him is With You Friends. And my 2nd favorite is probably "Fucking Die" or "Look Over At That" when he was Twipz.

I really hate some of his newer stuff. This Leaving EP was kind if depressing. I've never heard of Buriel so I don't know why people are saying it sounds like Buriel. It just sounds kind of slow, deep, and poor-constructive use of the samples he used in his 2 tracks. It got very repetitive and strange hearing "Reason.... The Reason" over and over and hearing "Leaving... *something something* le-leaving."

I liked it but it was depressing and very mediocre compared to most of his music. I don't know how he's doing but all of it feels kind of pointing at the word "leaving" because months ago he release a track called "My Goodbye" then removed it for copyright EVERYWHERE on the internet. I almost couldn't find it. I got ahold of it by luck at the time it was leaked.
Then he releases the "Leaving" EP whxh just worries me because I do like his music and he seems like a pretty good influence to producers. He's a nice guy with a wide range of musical styles. He's not some douchey guy all about the wubs and shit like most of his fans expect him to be.

I rate the Leaving EP a 3/5. It's ok. Nice smooth feel to it and somewhat progressive. I really like the Chiptune-relative synthesized melody in the track "The Reason" I think it's the best track on this EP imo.

I'm saying I don't like repetitive use of vocal snippets for an entire song. Like "Right On Time" THATS SUPER REPETITIVE and boring to me.
