Kubrick got Alex North to write a full score and used random classical pieces as guides for editing but ended up rejecting his whole score and just using the guide pieces instead. North wasn't told and only found out when he attended the first screening

Don't particularly remember the soundtrack (apart from Dopesmoker!) but this is ace, gonna have to grab the whole thing.

I think it's now clear, Jarmusch has the best soundtracks (as well as best films in general...)

Hans Zimmer overall treats composition like a production line in a factory. It's the most soul less uncreative take on film music composition really.

but Lion King!

Inception soundtrack (along with a lot of his others) are over-rated to fuck though lol


Blade Runner's the best soundtrack ever imo, agreed with joeki on Rachel's Song being amazing, as well as Love Theme. agreed with wolf on Alien too, great soundtrack
