Nice ^^

I've been listening to Beck - Loser the last few days (and Mellow Gold, the album it's off);

Serious love for this track. The sitar line is melodic without being imposing, no fancy drum line but a lovely bit of grit, guitar hooks are almost added as an afterthought to announce different sections in the track...bugs me I don't make electronic music that has this kind of vibe. Not the sound, but the vibe it invokes. Envokes? Invokes? One of those.

Invoke or evoke would work. Envoke isn't a word.
They play Beck on the "everything alternative" radio station where I live. He fits that description better than most of the stuff they play lol I've been meaning to check out more of his stuff.

Thanks for that ehbrums! I'm dl'ing right now.
I found a gold mine of 200 breakbeats last month or so and they're chopped but they're in renoise instrument format. You can extract the whole break using winrar, but that would be time consuming to do yourself. Just out of curiosity, I'm in the process of figuring out how to get the computer to do all this and just leave a folder with 200 flac files.

Envoke would make a good track name.

Invoke: Summon into action or bring into existence, often as if by magic
if you produce it, they will come...

I learnt something today :mrgreen:

Also seeing a lean toward laziness creeping back into this forum :( Thinking a reshuffle and reorg of the sticky threads is in order.

Take a few minutes out of your day and listen to this all the way through. You'll feel better for it.

Yea, I just scored a couple awesome hip hop promo vinyls with acapella and instrumental tracks...gonna do me up some jungle/dub/dubstep bootlegs of Ready or Not by the Fugees and Lowrider by Cypress Hill among others...I think a Ghostface track and a Snoop Dogg track...
