recommendations Computer Speakers to use when away from home
I have a pair of monitors at my own house where I make most of my productions and I also have monitoring headphones, however, I'm rarely able to go home but once or twice a week and it takes me forever to finish a track so I ended up buying a laptop with good enough specs to run most of my production software/vsts and I was wondering if there were any recommendations on computer speakers or any other speaker system (preferably under $100) that I could set up at my gfs house just for general beat making/laying concepts to take home to my monitors.
Reason I don't use the headphones is I wear glasses and they give me a headache after a while with over the ear headphones.

I dont know about computer speakers, but i know you can get some decent used monitors for cheap on guitar centers website or craigslist. I got some AV40s for $80 from GC, and I saw some Bx5as for like $100.

I sold a pair of AV30 for 30€ few weeks ago. They CRUELLY lack bass. AV40 must be better (but it won't rumble). For <100$, I think it's a decent deal.

Honestly, I use a pair of $10 earbud headphones, the bass is surprisingly legit and all the highs and mids come through great. Technology has really come a long way and even the shittiest of earbuds/headphones are good man. And the earbuds won't hurt your ears, mine came with like 10 different sized plugs you can choose from. And like I said $10 bucks, can't go wrong

in ears are your best bet man, no point buying cheap speakers theyll cost you more and they will sound worse.

i used to travel w/ a pair of cheap $100 klipsch computer speakers; they were good enough to get a ready-for-the-club mixdown on, and lasted a year of being abused. not too bad...
