Ghost Wobble (old school dubstep)
Ez all finished my first track using Reason 5 it's on some dark easy slow wobble vibe. Still just scratching the surface in learning reason I didn't really wanna tack on too much or put alot of effort in it. Just doing it cuz am bored and want to push the old school dubstep sound since theres not alot of it this days and thats pretty much the only kind of dubstep I like lol.

Hi there, firstly thanks for taking the time and working up the courage to post this here... Secondly, I noticed that you said you didn't want to put a lot of effort into this production and are only doing this because you are bored - is that really your true motivation or are you actually interested in writing / producing electronic music? I think it's unlikely those here will take a post like this seriously, as everyone else here does put in a lot of effort and is serious about what they do ... Let me know either way as I'm sure people would be curious to find out.
If you aren't serious about it then you can't expect people to post serious comments here. If on the other hand you are looking at seriously getting into production then I will suggest a few things. You must learn to walk before you can run, by that I mean you have to get to grips with the most basic elements of electronic music to produce anything worth listening to. That being rhythm (the structures of beats and bars, google it) and song structure / dynamics (again, google). Each genre of music typically has definitive rhythms and structures specific to it, and music as a whole. Rhythm and structure come first, then the musical / tonal side of things. Educate yourself by reading, listening, or watching videos on youtube.
It's good that you have made a start, but what you have produced here is lacking all of the elements I listed. If you do want to put effort in then you will learn these things, and figure out how to implement them in Reason. If not, then there isn't much poing wasting your time and posting here.
Anyway I also love the old school wobbly sound, it's what first inspired me. Take it easy, figure out what you want to do, and don't let my ramblings dishearten you, I'm just trying to be honest with people here.

Some sounds in here could be really good if you worked at the mixdown. Sub is overpowering everything, can't really hear the snare. Get on to Eq'ing that badboy and you could have something quite nice here man.

Big up all criticism is well taken thas why I posted here. I def still have alot to learn am just barely scratching the surface in learning Reason 5 my next few tracks you'll def see a transition of knowledge.
I really do take things at a snails pace as it's not my number one priority though my goal is to push some serious dub influenced dubstep within 3-4 months and I have the guidance of AD if need be. This is just my first very basic noobie starter track anyhow big up and thanks for the tips guy's i'll def take them into consideration.

Re: Ghost Wobble (old school dubstep)
This is bad.
First, the biggest issue of them all, the drums and thus the track has no groove or rhythm, the beat is all tacky and it's fighting with the synths and the drum sounds themselves are a 'plastic' sounding.
the mixdown is all over the place too and especially you're lacking any high end frequencies.

Yea you make good point's I really just tried to make it less annoying than it was and amplified the bass because it sounded better on speaker. I need to get some decent monitors because on my headphones it sounded ok until I ran on my speakers. I ordered an MPK midi controller making tunes should be a breeze from now on.
