^^^ True.
There are enough posts on here that explain exactly how to make wobble bass. You just need to experiment with whatever synth you are using. Learn the basics about oscillators and LFOs, and you'll understand better. Without a general understanding of how those things work, you'll just be turning knobs cluelessly, searching for a sound. Production should be about learning things yourself. You can't have everything handed to you, although a little guidance always helps.
What are you using anyway?

in FL use the 3x oscillator....
Book a safari trip to Kenya and bring your laptop!!!... capture a troop of vervet monkeys, get them into an internet cafe and feed them a constant supply of chocolate covered espresso beans and soft-porn... load up the 3x oscillator as stated before, and get them to twist knobs for you randomly until the sound produced is something like.. wub...wub..wub.. wubwubwubwub... give the monkeys a treat - maybe a biscotti or something - but for god's sake don't let them around real live women!!! Get them to repeat the process until one of them figures out how to save the sound as a preset... If a million monkeys typing randomly into a keyboard could produce a Shakespearian play surely a single horny monkey can produce dubstep..
whalah! welcome to dubstep stardom!

Nah mate. Vervets are alright but their bass response isn't great. You get a deeper bass if you use Douc Langurs, maybe with a Lowland Gorilla on the 3rd oscillator, but that can be a bit too much on some club systems, especially in the Serengeti.Jolly Wailer wrote:capture a troop of vervet monkeys
This is the best advice I have ever read. Hope Mr.Slums doesn't mind me stealing it from another thread...
DJ Slums wrote: ok - firstly, get a vorb prog, like blastingtons ultra, or spodmograph. i always find spodmograph is too snidey on the wave front, so blastingtons v2.4 is the one i go for.
create a nice crisp clop ruffler, and then stretch it. stretch it good. dont worry about the interferance at this point, as you can always snip it later.
export a nice fat wobcoddler from one of your bass wave head progs, and interline it against any LFA or vodler - would be best to do this with some sort of keyboard. i always use an elbow keyboard, with multi media sliders. that way, i can always import it to breadthwidth after and mess around with it.
happy hunting.
fucking classic.Jolly Wailer wrote:in FL use the 3x oscillator....

We could try replying to "how do I make a wobble bass?" questions with "just stick a pure sine wave with maybe a bit of triangle at about C-0 to C-1" and trick them into using deep subs instead...two oh one wrote: The forum needs a wobble bass sticky. And a million posts from people whining about there being too much mid-range wobble bass.
