I've just noticed that the chch quake was the second largest recorded peak ground acceleration at 2.2g

(also the third, fifth and sixth highest)

yeah i cant do it either, especially not on md... but my mixing skills do peak at like 2-3 beers in (and sharply decline after)

Yeah after 2 or 3 beers it's alright. As long as you don't drink too much during the set. Never tried mixing on md but I would fail miserably I think.
I once did a few lines too much before a set though and it was a real mess. At the time it sounded pretty alright because I was wired, but afterwards...
