watching utopia right now, seems pretty good so far
if you're watching utopia, the part about 28 minutes into the show, pay attention when it pans over their shoulders and onto the manuscript all laid out on the floor.

that stuttery vocal in the soundtrack is definitely sampled from some dubstep tune. i know i know the tune but cant remember it for the life of me. on the tip of my fucking tongue. yunx plays it pretty frequently

Yeah im not into what they did with wilsons character..that comment "yeah what about wilson" seems t sum up the writers attitude towards him..that little girl was really good tho..10/10 for not being completely irritating. .I wonder if there'll be another series? I enjoyed it a lot..wasnt as deep as I thought it was gna be but defo best brit drama I've watched in ages.

Episode 2 of Black Mirror might be the shittest thing I've ever seen. Episode 1 wasn't much better.

Next one doesn't look too intriguing either.
A CG character from a TV show is jokingly put forward to become a member of Parliament.

Just, I dunno... it was shit. About as subtle as a brick. I get it, phones, everybody recording shit, trial by media, negative effect of media and technology in the near future, etc. etc.

i dont know, for me i felt like it was pulling a bait & switch by making it seem like it was all about the "omg everyone just records shit" and then at the end it turns out to be more of a commentary on justice and crime & punishment. i felt the same way you did and felt like that theme was sort of a cop out, but the way it ended made me think of the whole episode in an entirely different light.

Dunno, maybe I just expected a switch up, like IMO, it's just repeating the first series in themes and attitude. Meh.
Gonna start watching Utopia soon though.

nah i really liked the fact it did that. I wasn't too impressed with the everyone recording zombie film but the way it ended up virtually deconstructing films like that i didnt see coming at all, and it made me wanna rewatch the whole thing, deefinitely my favourite of all them so far i think.
I dont really see how that episode was anything like any of the ones from last series either tbh

Black Mirror ep 2 was daaaaark I thought.
I knew there would be some sort of sinister reason for the whole constant recording thing but when you find out its a new form of punishment then also see that people are going out their way to go on 'justice day trips' for fun it makes the whole situation 10x worse.
Deffos some good watching imo.
