Coming out of the speaker like a sucker punch, you know when you’re hearing a Biome track. The Manchester native had been a criminally underappreciated dub plate master until recently, keeping the city’s bass music purveyors waiting with baited breath for the next batch of dubs, vital ammunition with which to destroy any dance. Now the world knows about Biome and what he can do with a computer and a set of monitors.
CONGI (Deep Heads/Innamind/Solace)
Straight out of Nottingham, these boys have already made a distinctive impact on an ever-growing scene. Using a blend of perfectly judged chords and melodies and rumbling low end, this duo's output are second to none.
ANEX (Deep Heads/M.U.D/RoodFM)
At 21 years of age, Anex is quickly building up a fan base from all around the world. With regular support from the likes of Phaeleh, DFRNT, Demon, Beezy, and loads more, Anex shows a diversity and variety in his music that makes him unique in a scene populated by so many young aspiring producers. 2012 saw Anex rise from obscurity with a well recieved vinyl release, a regular show on RoodFM, and a few features with well known blogs.
