It's not getting your music out there that's hard. It's making good music. If your music is truly good, getting "signed" or "recognized" is the easy part. Keep making better music and push yourself to be more original and creative, keep pushing the envelope of creativity and always remember that music is a playground, the surface is yours.

This should be a big banner that you have to click on before you can get into the Production sub forum

Sound design sub forum would be better IMO...shift all the how-i-make-sound threads in there.
And a post cap limit - users not allowed to start new threads until they've reached 150 posts.

I took a chunk out of my exciting four hour shift at the leather store yesterday to listen to some random stuff from Dubs...more people around here need to get on that "pushing creativity" part...my god...Dubs is a wasteland of bland...strangely it was mostly a slew of painfully cookie cutter and boring dungeon tunes.
I tried three times to come up with something positive to say for this post. Couldn't do it.

I've avoided Dubs for about a month or so now...it was a losing battle trying to give constructive criticism in there...most folk don't want to hear anything bad said against their tune, or only post for some Soundcloud plays.

Yea, I didn't see any actual criticism in any of the posts. But I only saw the feedback for feedback (I forget how they abbreviate it) once, lol. Anyway, I should just worry less about what other people do
I won't be trawling through Dubs again any time soon...

But i need plays damn it,plays plays plays.Give me plays or i will angrily masturbate to the sound of my own demise and you Fragments will be to blame!!
Seriously though i listen to some stuff i don't like but chose not to comment unless i feel it's something easily fixable.Everyone needs to start somewhere,i'm pretty glad when i first started making tunes i didn't have anyone for feedback because i knew i was shit so didn't need anyone solidifying that in my mind,it could have been disastrous for my self motivation.
Also wub great op

Yea. only left one comment. Go check the last thing you posted in Dubs, lloyd. It was yours!

A good indicator of how bad the attitude is in there is if you mess with the Search parameters at the bottom;
Display topics from previous: 3 Months Sort by Replies Ascending
And see how many tracks got posted just since the start of this year which received no comments/feedback whatsoever.

It's me old mucker B9 dropping fire,i had to comment.I do leave feedback.Like i said i have a browse every now and then, normally if i'm in the mood to listen to a lot of tunes i will post and try to be as constructive as possible.I just left a quick one for B9 because i'm a huge fan of his shit and want him to give up details on sample sources lol
All over tactical feedback to strengthen my own sound

Like i checked skuntech's tune out yesterday but chose not to leave feedback because he can be a complete cock to people.I actually thought it was a pretty decent tune as well. Also i always try to comment on outbounds stuff because i'm a huge fan.
Honestly i don't like the brash stuff that gets posted so chose to not really comment on bro or anything like that but will always comment on stuff i like.If i can help i will,i love giving feedback on peoples stuff but refrain from being harsh on things i don't like if i can.
