nier was kinda wack, graphics were on some ps2 shit, combat was very boring/simple/easy, story was a mix of jrpg tropes and 2deep4u. now onto witcher 2 finally. i accidentally skipped the tutorial so some of this shit seems pretty confusing like alchemy and crafting but so far its really dope.

There were rumors earlier EA is canning the development of 4 due to not getting the sales numbers they wanted.

Yea it looks glorious from the streams I watched (that is if you're an Arma fan) nothing really groundbreaking but refinement of the series, better graphics, animations, bit of an engine overhaul, every building is enterable, can shoot out individual windows.
Still the same old Arma which is just what I wanted.
Hoping for more optimization, but this is going to make me cave and invest in a new video card.
Almost caved and got the normal alpha access, but gonna hold out till I have enough for the supporter edition.

Any puzzles yet? That's my main worry. Apparently there's real solid ones included but they're not necessary to get through the story. Not sure how I feel about that but can see why they'd do it.

How would it make sence to remove puzzles from tomb raider?
It's entire legacy is built on puzzles.
It's like removing wall running from Prince of Persia.
It only makes sence if they want to dumb it down or ty current gen of gamers.

You just answered your own question
Apparently Thief is getting a reboot as well, which has me a bit worried as it as a series was one of the best stealth series.

Lol. What Deadly Habit said. I love the puzzles, but I can see why they'd think they can boost sales by dumbing it down and adding a shitty multiplayer.

Got a massive backlog of games at the moment.
Been going through God of War HD for a few days and then here and there on XCOM, FTL & Sleeping Dogs.

Really interested about the new Simcity. Gonna wait a few weeks for the price to come down though.

Bought tomb raider yesterday and it's decent. Not as hard as earlier versions but seriously fast paced.Bit like Drake's Uncharted on steroids.
I sort of see why they cut the puzzle side of it out with it being a young Lara learning the ropes but it is a bit of a let down on that side of things. For me the game is good though and one i want to complete,i put games down far to easily if they don't float my boat so yeah its decent enough.

Figured they were going after the Uncharted market... and with all the QTE, mash key to not die shit I've seen in previews can tell it's not for me.
These reboots to appeal to the mass fanbase that seem to ignore the original core base they built up with IPs is starting to become a very irritating trend.
