I've just downloaded the 64 bit version to give it a try, free for 30 days!

Guess you can't export or save anything like in Live 8, right?

No it's the full program for a month, saving is enabled! It makes you sign in or create an account to activate saving tho.

I think I might, even though I'm a longtime FL user, seems to be a lot of hype about Live 9 though.

While 9 looks really sick, I haven't really fully worked through 8, so I'm not in a huge hurry to spend some cash. Although automation curves are almost worth the price.

Ive been messing around with it a while, and its even more confusing then 8 was. I really like the idea of live, i just need to put some more time in. One thing that is bugging me it is that everything looks much more bland then 8. Kinda makes my eyes tired looking at it.

That's if you very recently purchased it.

I paid $250 to upgrade.

The readouts they gave to the compressor and eq are mint.

Plus the audio to midi function is great for people that have issues tuning drums and atmospheres, not to mention how easy it is to start out a remix...
No more sitting for hours looping section of audio to decipher the notes being played out.

Now you can draw changes in a clip and pull up the automation in the session view.

And to top it all off, fucking curves! :corndance:

I've been waiting for this. Downloading the test trial to my work laptop as we speak.

Well i have the option to download Max/MSP from cycling74.com or configure the Max/MSP path in the preferences.

Are you using the trial or full version?

I'll download it anyway, i'm just surprised as i thought it was part of the program - this isn't exactly what i'd call integrated. It doesn't seem any different to 8 in this regard.

I have the full version so I'm not exactly sure what the process is like for downloading a demo. I can access all the max4live tools using the ableton browser and they appear as all other effects would so that's why I'd call it integrated. I also have a separate standalone Max icon (which I think might be the separate download) but I have no idea what it does yet.

but somehow my bad tunes suddenly sound kinda better, and my good tunes sound different - just because the comptressors and effects are emproved, or just not exactly same anymore! :'D loooool i guess, for some stuff i gonna stick to 8.
