Eh? no.deadly habit wrote:wait are you calling stealth dated?pete bubonic wrote:Personally I want a reboot and a modern interpretation of the thief game rather than a sequel hampered by three games of lore, dated mechanics etc.
They were great, the games (the second at the very least) are classics. But not perfect.Thief had mechanics perfect for stealth.
I'm not sure if you've read someone else's comments but I have said nothing even close to 'not wanting a challenge' or that 'stealth is dated'.I don't want the handholding bs, i can''t solve a puzzle bs included in most modern games.
I want a damn challenge again.
agreed (well not the abilities bit, that doesn't make any sense)stealth is about stealth, not abilities, not about scores, about figuring shit out on your own no objective arrows.
pure puzzles, simple mechanics without shortcuts where if you screw up you start all over again, aka a challenge.
I didn't realise they would be altering the original games with this reboot!!why ruin thief?
For a 15 years old game yup!it had a damn good setting and gameplay, damn near perfected stealth
Source was a pile of doo compared to 1.6 though. Did actually put about 20 hours in when it came out, butLiam92 wrote:I thought this when first played it, but after playing it for a while, I think it's on par with source.Dessem wrote:Been playing CS: GO with some of my housemates lately. It's so shit compared to 1.6 and Source.

Roman could move through vents twice as fast as most people, crazy stuff.
