this thread is about unpopular opinions not randomness
(which seems to be an unpopular opinion but I'm unsure as to the popularity of that opinion)

Lana Del Rey - Born To Die is a sick album.
Dunno if it's like this on all copies, but I downloaded it and it sounds like shit on anything other than in-ear headphones.

I still really like Harlem Shake
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.. NSFW
I walked into town the others day, headphones in and it came on the shuffle. Kinda filled me with loathing, which is sad cause I loved it when I put it on there. I'd got kinda bored of the tune a while back, but I can could hear it every so often and enjoy it. I just find it a bit annoying nowLiam92 wrote:I still really like Harlem Shake

Gummo is an amazing film more 'normal' and true to reality than most films posted in the movies thread.

Music and film piracy isnt the same as stealing a physical product like an apple or a watch. Both the latter took a certain amount of labour to get each product to the shelves. Once recording /mastering has finished for music/film that product can then be duplicated infinite times for infinite gains. I know about overheads and the rest of the shenanigans that go with these industries but i'd feel the same about stealing an apple if it could be duplicated infinitely from one source.

An infinity tree? maybe, but i should of said duplicated with no extra required labour to get it from producer to customer.wub wrote:Like a tree?butter man wrote: i'd feel the same about stealing an apple if it could be duplicated infinitely from one source.

While the digital file can be copied yeah it costs a lot to get something made in the first place. If no-one pays for it it'll die outbutter man wrote:Music and film piracy isnt the same as stealing a physical product like an apple or a watch. every industry hass overheads few can replicate there product cost free. Music die off? Not sure about that. If it means regular people producing getting a fair shot at some limelight if the record companies werent pumping there beibers and cindies. Plus, troboudour(mispelt?) it , Get gigging like a musosl career shud bewolf89 wrote:While the digital file can be copied yeah it costs a lot to get something made in the first place. Yeah but studio equipment and proper mastering of music costs money
Or should maybe all everyone use cracked copies of massive (which would still exist despite no-one paying for it?) and torrented vengeance packs to make music on cheap monitors that sounds like shit that's been mastered by someone who has no idea what they're doing?
I'm sure that actual bands also have all the time and money in the world to pay to record music that no-one would pay for either in between holding down a normal job to pay for all of it.
Or maybe you could just pay for music that's going to get you hours of pleasure through out your life and provoke thoughts and feeling and memories rather than spending money on over priced shitty designer clothes, drugs and starbucks.
Besides I think people forget the fact that they do infact rely on labels to expose music to them that they can rely on. For example think of how many people here follow Deep Medi. Would you still be hearing that music if the label folded due to piracy?

Mezzanine is by far the best Massive Attack album.
