Air Raid Warning Lifted at 10:29AM

The North Korean authorities have lifted this morning’s air raid warning one hour after it was broadcast by Chosun Central Broadcast.
Having broadcast the initial warning at 09:32AM, the broadcaster issued a second notice at 10:29AM stating, “Notification to all members of the military and the people. Air raid warning lifted.”
However, the warning will be of concern to analysts, given that Chosun Central Broadcast issued it, rather than the internal fixed-line Third Broadcast, which is affiliated with the military and is normally used for this kind of activity.

news channels want war - makes their ratings go up
reminds me of this
Re: So, like, WW3
One subtext these msm's keep pushing is that the war will be limited to the peninsula. I hear it mentioned again and again. With all the armaments heading into Anderson Air Force base, and other assets, like mobile haarp, heading into the vacinity, the recommended closure of embassy's, even the Russian, my personal worry level is quite high.
Re: So, like, WW3
Been reading a bit on this site - 38North.org - which is (allegedly) something of an informed clearinghouse for all things North Korea.
What's interesting is that intel analysts in the know seem to have a pretty good grasp on the situation, which boils down to this: new regime/green leader going up against international condemnation for the nuke program decides to prove to everyone that he's just as ballsy as pops and grandpa and pushing the brinkmanship just into the red without fully committing, which shows the country he's a strong leader and the world that he's nobody to be trifled with; but they're really playing kind of a "mouse that roared" scenario - attempting to engender international sympathy as the victim of a bully AND hopefully get some aid in the process.
Informed sources also seem to say they expect something to happen before things get better again. Maybe another island getting shelled or a naval action.

Re: So, like, WW3
Well they are prepping another nuke test.
Re: So, like, WW3
Happy days are here again! The only response to this could be an asymmetric expansion of the Russian military presence abroad, particularly in Cuba. In Cuba, there are convenient bays for our reconnaissance and warships, a network of the so-called "jump airfields." With the full consent of the Cuban leadership, on May 11 of this year (2012), our country has not only resumed work in the electronic center of Lourdes, but also placed the latest mobile strategic nuclear missiles "Oak" on the island. They did not want to do it the amicable way, now let them deal with this," Putin said.
Re: So, like, WW3
Wut me worry?Gary Samore, a top Obama administration national security official, warned of new sanctions if North Korea conducted a third round of nuclear tests on Monday, as reports surfaced that North Korea has miniaturized its nuclear warheads so they can be delivered by ballistic missile.
North Korea’s last round of tests, conducted in May 2009, appear to have included a “super-EMP” weapon, capable of emitting enough gamma rays to disable the electric power grid across most of the lower 48 states, says Dr. Peter Vincent Pry, a former CIA nuclear weapons analyst and president of EMPact America, a citizens lobbying group.
Samore, who handles arms control and non-proliferation issues, warned that “additional strong sanctions will be imposed on the North with the support of Russia and China."

Drama in Pyongyang...
KJU's uncle (who's been known to be a behind the scenes power player) getting arrested in the middle of a Party meeting. It's widely thought that when Kim Jong Il's health was in decline, this guy was running the show behind the scenes.

Um... OK. So dreaming is right out in North Korea too, apparently. Jeebus.
