So I don’t want to hear none of this ‘the music is dead’ shit. People writing this stuff don’t come to dances, they sit in offices and talk shit about music that I, and others, feel passionate about. When I see that kind of talk it feels like someone is shitting on my doorstep.

Yeah big up Vivek tbh, the band-wagoning going on in the UK atm is straight embarrassing. Didn't like reading this from skream still,
It’s hard for me to find music for mine and Benga’s show in the 140 [BPM] range at the minute. It’s either music that wants to sound like 2005, music that wants to sound like the American style or trap records that all sound the same. Whereas I could easily do a two hour show every week of the house stuff.
Clearly a factor of not looking hard enough. The new-garage/house wave rly is embarrassing though, it's like the same heads who claimed to have moved away from the 'cheesy' garage sounds in 2002 have just gone straight back there. That's the heads there catering to in the clubs atm, posers and the bandwagoners who heard disclosure in the charts. Big up the deserters.

legend out.

haha that statement by skream instantly came to mind when reading the vivek interview. agree with everything what you said. and i also find it very broad to claim that somebody's trying to recreate a certain time when you're doing exactly the same with your disco shit.

Slumdog has been a dub for at least 2,5 years. not sure if that's ever coming out. there aren't any new VIVEK tunes floating around though, so it's gonna be interesting to see if the album's gonna be loaded with unheard tunes or if there's gonna be some old material on it, too.

Yep, big up V.I.V.E.K, & really disappointing to read Skream's view on that. Shame.
