Fair play NZ, when it came to the crunch you stepped up and showed us how it was done.

Let's hope we can hold on for an uninspired draw

Surely not long now til prior launches a nathan astle style assault to win it :corndance:

Srsly though NZ have generally outplayed us 0-0 would be a tad cruel.

Omg this is too tense. I know just as it looks likely we'll draw wickets will tumble.

Edit: broad scred a run .

We're certainly much better for the experience as well.

Prior will probably be the name put in the spotlight the most but Bell taking away so many deliveries from the NZer's (250+) and Broad's efforts to hang around for as long as he did under the real pressure that was being applied to him were the standouts in the English resistance for me.

I'm not normally one for IPL, 20/20 in general but did anyone else see Gayle's 100 off 30 odd balls? Amazing, brutal stuff.

I watched the whole innings live on TV. When he was on about 80 I thought it was going to be something special didn't expect him to score so many though. He hit a couple of sixes on to the roof of the stadium and it didn't even look like he hit them that hard, I guess he's just that powerful.

This sort of thing is the only real merit of the IPL imo.
