im thinking about buying komplete from native instruments but am i right in thinking that they come in cd's??
cause ive got a new mac, which doesnt have a cd/dvd drive anymore (stupid apple)
has anyone come across this and did you just end up buying a seperate cd drive to install or is there any other glaringly obvious way around this that my tiny head cant quite grasp with a hangover?

Why don't you read the website? Seriously it took me a total of 2 clicks on NI Komplete page to find this out lol:
Product Includes
12 Installer DVDs, PDF manuals of all 33 products, e-voucher (valid 3 months after KOMPLETE 9 activation)
2 ways I'd go about it: either buy a USB DVD drive (they're pretty cheap) or make disc images of the DVDs on another PC and transfer them using a USB drive/hdd.

I've been wondering about this myself. Shouldn't you just be able to download the demo version of a product then use the activation key to unlock it?

I bought Komplete - you CAN get them in download forms - I contacted Native Instruments as my disks were scratched and they gave me a download for each disk of Komplete. You could do this too, I'm sure they'd offer you the downloads too. If not, I could give you the links as you still obviously need to verify the apps with NI's verifier app.

There's serveral download options that exist on the internet already including the demo versions which you should just be able to verify and unlock it as a full version. Or you could just contact NI after you purchase it and tell them you have no dvd drive on your new mac and they'll send you the download links.
