Problem with Harmor VST

I didn't pirate it, it's still only the demo (so I'm not getting any of Image-Line's support for it either) and I really like the synth, but it sometimes just stops working all together when it plays another note. Dunno if it's something in the patch I'm using that causes the glitch, but when it goes to the second note/chord a loud pop sounds up and it stops working completely unless I reinitialize it.

Is this normal with Hamor? If it is I guess I won't be buying it afterall.

Edit: Oh I see. I'm running Renoise in 64 bit on a 64 bit machine and Harmor's demo is only 32... could this cause it?

Check the stated limitations of the demo, does it mention polyphony anywhere?

Maybe try the plugin in a different host or in a different plugin format if possible?

Maybe download a crack to see if it's the same there too?

Or you could buy the thing and if the problem persists file a support ticket?

Finally, something that usually works for me, just install some gamma ray particle shielding.

Nah, polyphony is fine. It's a random thing that happens. It's basically fully functional bar saving presets and a 30 minute time limit.

I'm not willing to pay money for a synth with this type of defect and "hope" Image-Line will fix it :p guess it'll be U-He Diva if this thing just suxxx as a plugin. Totally different synth, I know. But synth type barely matters to me, just if I can get coo' sounds out of them

I'm not sure, I thought other users might be able to help you out.
(It might be as you said an issue with Renoise 32/64bit incompatibility which someone over there might know about)

You should be able to post in "Looptalk" without purchasing anything, there a lot of helpful chaps over there even the developer of Harmor occasionally exists.

Perhaps try using a bridging app like the one built into Reaper which allows 32bit plugs to be used on a 64bit install. I don't know much more about it than that, but it may be a free way of testing the plugin. You can delete both apps afterwards if neither suit you.

Yeah Renoise has it built in as well, but idunno how well it works. It never gave me issues with others plugins, but those were more simple effects.

I know it's not really relevant as i use logic but i believe the bridging app in Logic was very very pants for well after a year of it coming out.

Again off topic, but I also have occasional problems with the FL bridge app...
