J&SB Strike Back was a bit rubbish, but the ABC extravaganza in Clerks 2 makes it more than acceptable.wub wrote:Also shite IMOLye Form wrote:I liked it.wub wrote:No it's utter shite.vishes wrote:Is that any good though?Mr Hyde wrote:

You mean Roger? Yeah, shit sucks. Even on films I disagreed with him about he always wrote such witty and thought provoking reviews. RIPwilson wrote:Shame about Robert Ebert

R.I.P.
Loved him from the moment I heard he walked out of Jonathan Livingston Seagull. His review of Caligula cracked me up.
Caligula is sickening, utterly worthless, shameful trash. If it is not the worst film I have ever seen, that makes it all the more shameful: People with talent allowed themselves to participate in this travesty. Disgusted and unspeakably depressed, I walked out of the film after two hours of its 170-minute length. That was on Saturday night, as a line of hundreds of people stretched down Lincoln Ave., waiting to pay $7.50 apiece to become eyewitnesses to shame..."This movie," said the lady in front of me at the drinking fountain, "is the worst piece of shit I have ever seen."

^yeah, there were 2 weren't there?
Eastwood's nod to the horror & heroism on both sides.
Reminded me of Hamburger Hill, the classic Korean War film,
maybe a little too episodic but a worthy effort
I've cum on here about Biutiful
gritty survival in Barcelona (I think).
Bardem is really skillful in this film,
playing a petty crim trading in illegals
for whom he has some compassion,
while trying to look after his kids,
reconcile with a fucked-up wife
and face death from prostate cancer.
If Spain was like this a few years ago it must be really shit now.

Seven Psychopaths
Same director/writer as In Bruges, humour is largely on the same level, thoroughly enjoyed this. Walken is a fucking don.
