I'm happy to buy the version, the lighters a nice little extra (I'm a sucker for extras), plus it was exclusive to a shop that has a bang on selection ran by a solid group of dudes, that I'm more than happy to support so they can keep doing what they do.

I'm just surprised that you seem so angry about something that caters perfectly for the people that don't want and those that do. It's not like you're forced to buy the 10 quid version, it's 40 out of a few hundred :S

i'm not angry or offended in the slightest way, i was having a laugh when i saw that. i feel some labels could shit in a bag and sell that as an special edition and some ppl would still happily buy it and pay extra money. that said i like extras same way, but some guys are really taking the piss.

No mate, I respect plenty of negative opinions on here, quick scan of my posts will see that.

There are some labels that take the opportunity to rip people off, but in fairness, they've given the opportunity for people to buy the record on it's own at a fair price. If the only option was 10 quid with the extras, I'd buy it, but agree with you that it's a rip off. That's my only point, you can still get the tunes at regular price if that's all you want.

I've made that point many times that people will buy anything as long as it says "special edition", but ultimately, who are we to tell people what to spend their money on? We all have our vices!
