Where's the scene in North America? (West Coast)
I'm trying to get out of Oregon and move to a place with a more vibrant dubstep scene. I've heard San Francisco and LA have some good clubs. I'm pretty passionate about the music and wanna get involved wherever the creativity's happening, and the deeper and darker stuff is getting played. DJG is from SF, so that gives me hope that there's good things going on down there.

Both SF and LA are pretty good for american standards. Maybe it comes down to what night you like to go out on.
San Francisco's main weekly is Ritual and goes down every Thursday. It's been at temple night club for the past two years or so, but is now moving to Mighty SF (new 50,000 watt sound system - http://bit.ly/10nA9EQ). You also have Truth doing Deep, Dark, and Dangerous a few times a month and a smaller event in Santa Cruz called Depth, which just had Youngsta come through.
LA's weekly is smog, which is a Sunday night thing. LA also has the big massives down there, which sometimes includes some big names (but too many kids imo)
Some producers in California, by location:
Truth (SF)
DJG (just moved down to LA, from SF)
Noah D (just now moved down to LA, from SF)
Matty G (SF/santa cruz)
Djunya (SF)
Photek (LA)
6blocc (LA)
Pawn (SF)
Deco (LA)
Also, if you're into dnb there's Stamina sundays in SF and Respect dnb in LA.

Other spots to look into (although I've never been myself + not west coast) are Denver(sub.mission), Houston(gritsy), and Brooklyn(reconstrvct).

Where in Oregon are you from? If you're near eugene and you mix, pm me. I also suggest San Francisco because it kicks ass and is an amazing city. Although I think there may be a monthly night in San Diego too.

Awesome, thanks for the information I appreciate it. Good to hear stuffs goin off in LA and SF. I'm definitely familiar with LAs massives, mostly the events insomniac puts on. Went to EDC when it was in LA a few times and HARD last summer. I agree with you on the kiddies though. Vibe definitely gets killed when you see little girls dressed like whores rolling out of their heads and bros being bros, not really there for the sounds.
The club thing I have yet to experience, outside of Oregon. Looking forward to the 21 plus events. Hopefully it attracts some cool people that are in it for the music.

I'm actually living in Eugene, haha. Haven't started mixing yet, I'm trying to wrap my head around ableton right now and finally getting to where I can make some tracks. SF is where its at. Ritual, the main dubstep weekly, just moved to Mighty, which has a brand new 50,000 watt sound-system that is phenomenal. I played on it the other night with Distal, and let's just say Misty Winter got pulled up more than once. Roni Size, Swindle, Matty G, Jack Sparrow, Sublo, Kromestar, Asylum, Von D, Seven, Jafu,Truth, Juju, Djunyah, DJG, Subscape (meh), DJ Shadow, Aphrodite, and Bachelors of Science are all playing in the next few months.
