Watched the waste of time that is Jack Reacher.
Also went to watch Oz in 3D.
It was ok.
Fairly well done.

Same director/writer as In Bruges, humour is largely on the same level, thoroughly enjoyed this. Walken is a fucking don.
In Bruges was a lot better though imo.

Genuinely upsetting and pretty unnerving Fatal Attraction-esque thriller... the pace keeps you on edge and the main actress's portrayal is subtly believable. Very good.

American Mary - this is the worst film I have seen in quite some time. It sounded like an enjoyable enough way to waste 90 minutes or so of my life but it was quite the opposite. I can't believe I sat through this shit.

Dead Snow - I shouldn't have enjoyed this but I did, loved every second of it.

Battle Royale - Been a long time, still like this one.

The Paperboy - Was not expecting that!! watched it on a recommendation from a friend with very similar taste to me. Thought the camera work/editing were great as were Zefron Kidman & Mcconaughey. Would definitely say its worth a watch.

The Life Aquatic - I just dont get Wes Anderson films. Tried to watch the royal tenenbaums & got so bored i turned it off. The only reason I finished this was because of Bill Murray. :corntard:

I'm with you on all of this almost 100% - I quite like The Darjeeling Limited, maybe because it's the first one of his I saw.
All the others i've seen were thoroughly underwhelming.

I have a feeling The Life Aquatic will get better with age. The crummy cgi (the sea creatures) had a certain charm to it..

Been looking into some 50s movies recently
Image
The Spanish Gardener: Very good UK film. Quality acting, interesting plot, definitely worth watching
Image
The Crimson Kimono: Not the best Noir ever but good thriller nonetheless.

The Darjeeling Limited is the only Wes Anderson film I've seen, great film though, always cheers me up when I watch it
