ECCODEK has emerged as one of Canada's brightest new talents on the dub and global fusion scene. Their innovative melding of downtempo, tribal, electronica and ethnic voices recently snagged them the Best World Music Artist award at 2007's Canadian Music Awards and had U.S. magazine Flaunt boasting, "Eccodek 's 'Voices have eyes' picks up where last year's sublime 'More Africa in us' left off." Exclaim! called 'Voices Have Eyes' a much anticipated album from Canada's best known world beat artist", while All Music Guide raved about the band's "almost mystical sense of wonder." ECCODEK's latest has sat in both the Earshot! and Chart Attack top 10 world and electronic charts on both the domestic and North American re-release with U.S.'s White Swan Records. And Eccodek mainman Andrew McPherson has kept busy with recent production work on Vieux Farka Touré's just released remix album and as the sole Canadian contributor to National Geographic's GeoRemix project. As if that wasn't enough, Eccodek appears on the new Buddha Bar iX compilation currently lighting up fusion clubs around the world.

Toronto’s DUB COLLECTIVE are no strangers to the dub community, creating a bonafide juggernaut of steppers dub, roots reggae, roots dub and electro dub sounds which is new to the Toronto scene. Unleashing a heady stew of live improvisation where the 3-piece wrecking crew trade off on a myriad of instruments, often mid-song. Weaving old school reggae, sweet vocal melodies and seriously spaced out synths, overtop a bedrock of deep rhythms, DUB COLLECTIVE is sure to have even the most jaded cynic testing the low end theory.

MEDICINEMAN, from No Man’s Land - CIUT 89.5 FM continues to demonstrate why he is the pre-eminent world fusion DJ in the Toronto area and arguably in Canada. His mid-week global groove show consistently ranks among the top of the heap for popularity and listenership. It’s no secret why labels like Six Degrees, Realworld, Wagram, Palm Pictures, Stereo Deluxe and Echo Beach go to the doctor when a new release needs to hit the airwaves. A tastemaker of the highest order and regular contributor to Toronto’s festival, concert and club scene, MEDICINEMAN will spin sets throughout the night to keep the dub thumping and heart’s pumping.

ROLLIN CASH SOUND SYSTEM

Rollin's Cash\s (Hot Pie Records) sound is a combination of music he has a deep respect for; classic roots dub/reggae and ol'school funk mashed up with modern & relevant sounds from todays world - breaks, step, hop, grime, and downtempo. Playing in a live setting with members of Manervous Beat, High Plains Drifter and The Irie Band - with Rollin performing on the decks with Serato - this improvisational outfit will feed off the energy and vibe of the Dub Transmission concept - deep grooves, trance like bass lines and a penchant for the unexpected.
