Is it possible, shift-bank for knobs in Ableton?

Post by Warwolt » Wed Apr 10, 2013 4:43 pm

So, I've got an 25 key midi-controller hooked up to Ableton, and connected to the controller I have a boss sustain-pedal. What I'd like to do is use the sustain-pedal as a bank switch (which I do in Traktor, which got native support for this kind of stuff) so that the knobs do different things.

Problem is I don't really know how to get about with this. The goal is to be able to control two sets of parameters on a synthesizer, the first being just coarse control of the sound like sweeping through oscillators and some effects like frequency modulation and that kind of stuff, sound scultping. The other set of knobs would be to control more keyboardist-things like the ADSR and the filter positions and the filter envelopes.

Anyone know how to get started on this, in Ableton? Get into scripting, use some thirt-party midi-software?

tl;dr I want to push a button to make ableton think that the same 8 knobs are a new set of 8 knobs how to do this
Burial isnt dubstep, fuck off.
