I've never seen such a varied amount of music posted on one page for someone who just wants brostep with strings.

YeahItsMe wrote:Hey guys, dubstep is by far my favorite genre of music all around, but it seems like I tend to stick in one general area when it comes to selection, they call it "brostep." I don't care what people will or won't call it I love it, but I want to expand what I listen to. Some of the artists I listen to are Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, Nero, Bassnectar, Doctor P, Flux Pavilion, and such.

I am open to new artists and songs, but the music just tends to be similar and I want a wider selection to listen to rather than just monster grwols, angry wobbles, and in you face lazers. Hey, I live that stuff, but I want a bigger selection.

If you guys can help me with giving some of you favorite artists and songs it would be appreciated, and they can be from waaay back to, like some old Skream, Benga, Caspa or Burial. Anything you got, I'll check it out!!!

I'm really into far out atmospheric stuff and heavily melodic stuff like Lindsey Sterlings Crrystallize. I love her playing violin!!!

Also I only got into dubstep a few years ago because of a reccommendation of Skrillex, so I'm still new!
Never said I wanted to know more brostep, I said I want dubstep that's different ;) Never said I want strings either, I said atmospheric and melodic. But I do appreciate what everybody's done! Like I said, I only got into dubstep in the past few years so I'm still finding artists and songs and seeing what I like which I why I was pretty much adking what other people like, NOT help me find more songs similar to what I like. I used to hated reggae until I started listening to dubstep!! So I'm conscioussly trying to EXPAND the horizon o what I listen to, especially reggae!!!

i think this is a bigger issue than you trying to find new music....
This too, be patient, some of the best songs are ones that grow on you, not just the ones that grab you instantly
