Use FL as a VST within FL and have the other 29 tracks in there? Or just bounce your busses down once you are happy with them and stick to 99 tracks

I'm not going to lie, I have never, ever even on the most complex of my tracks used 99 tracks. How? Screenshots of what your doing would be good, to provide suggestions for condensation.

If it's because you are using all the effects slots on a channel and are using multiple channels per sound and don't want to bounce to audio try using Patcher

Take the next step and work with audio. Once you are happy with a sound bounce it to audio and move on. 99 tracks is insanity.

I'd still be interested in a screenshot as to what and how you're automating so much stuff simultaneously. :h:

Just read fl 11 has 199 tracks so you might just have to wait a couple of months for the update

Why do you guys want more than 10 tracks? I'm always happy with 6-8 tracks+2-3aux in Ableton. never understood why people use tons of tracks....

if you like automation so much, try to automate things so you can get as many different sounds as you need on one track. can you automate enabling and disabling an effect in FL?

Yeah you can either automate the dry/wet next to the plugin or the on/off (the green light) which is on if the automation is over 50% and off when under, I think that's how it works at least (I'm not at my computer to check)

Now that's versatile. Then you(OP) should be able to turn on and off effects to get many different sounds out of one track instead of however many different tracks you use for similar sounds. If you could post a screenshot, I'm sure we could find stuff you could condense.

Because not everyone produces the same style. Pretty straightforward. I listened to a few of your tracks and their very minimal, of course YOU don't need a lot of tracks. People like me need 10 tracks just for the drums.

You can have automation within a pattern by the way, helps me keep things neat

I don't know about you guys but I use at least 40 tracks in a dedicated project just for resampling my 808 hi hats. Gotta get that perfect blend of tape saturated, tape emulation saturated, boss overdrive pedal, vhs resampled hats to sit in the mix right.

You can click and drag the automation over the track that it's actually affecting and just pile multiple automation sections on top of each other.

As previously mentioned, you can also just automate in the pattern itself.

If you have a ton of effects on one thing that are automated you should consider which parts of the automation you're happy with that are going to stay the same versus the ones that you're still tweaking, then bounce to audio(record into edison) with the automation and effects you know are set, muting and saving for later the ones that still need fine-tuning to work on the newly bounced audio afterwards.
