Tayo
A former straight ‘breaks’ advocate, more recently Tayo has been seduced by the dark south London sounds of the dubstep scene and is now renowned for slicing such splintered half step bastard breaks with a healthy dose of techno and filthy 4/4.

From Shackleton to Si Begg; Vex’d to Villalobos or Skream to Surkin – his recent mixes have massively elevated his status in the conflict zone between genres - to one that demands to be heard.

Such incisive juxtaposition explains why Tayo’s parties have become lauded as an indispensable snapshot of the underground sound of 2007….

Check from the front!

aside from his obvious Fabric CD check the playlist below for his recent mix vibes; he's being prepped currently for the rude boy filth

You know it, Benga crushed it @ the Subby at the start of the year. Much love to Kinky Afro, was at Octave One the other month and it was rowdy as fuck.

Only problem J is that this is Daves birthday, so it depends what he is wanting to do! Also, Richie Hawtin is at Pressure. JUAS! :-O

You will be are Pressure? 8)

As it stands, Tayo is my pick ahead of Hawtin tbh, more of a joy boy fest innit.

Hawtin probably wins in the dubious electric emo hairdo category.

Tayo just wins. Big up his bad self for the party in Jersey towards the tail of last month. He said he's been talking with Mark Iration - the imagination just tingles...me wanna feel the loudness.

Doubt I can reach this (tho I'm much nearer than the Channel Isles) - have fun for us, there's a dear :D

seen Hawtin at Pressure A LOT. He actually is pretty much booked on a 9 month rotation for the Arches ....

obvious thing to say as it's my night, but Hawtin could bore the hind legs off anything...

come and taste the rood boy style .... it may change your entire view on what constitutes fun, bad hair and good afro's.

Saw Ritchie @ Sonar.. Same old same old!!

Dub step on the Radiomagnetic Sound system in the Sub will be the dog's bollocks....

I remember hearing little bits of Techno through Benga's set and that was amazing... TAYO will have the place in an uproar!!!

Not to be missed!
peace

So thats what they call it now eh... Some sort of sponsorship deal? weird

Anyways, yeah, Yunx and Benga both sounded quite good on it, so this shold be sweet too. Especially as Tayo will be headlining right?

Nice one matt!

it's great!

especially since they are all one week after the other. some consistency!

definetley going to this now. and tayo is the one being advertised on all the flyers so i would imagine he's headlining.
