Only been there once but I really liked Barkode, just off rembrantplein. Club Up can be good aswell, nachtwerk is on there which is Presk and Dj+'s night. Canvas is next to the trouw, not really club but its on the 7th floor and you get good views of the city, good music too. If you fancy venturing out of the city a bit Pand14 is cool in the south theyve now got a 24 hour license I think aswell. Ruigoord in the west is also really good, its a village that has been squatted and they have parties in the old church.

Nah that's a good list. Maybe Westerunie / Westergasfabriek. Although there's also a lot of good nights at venues that aren't clubs.
Theaters, film studios, boats etc..

Nice one, I'll keep my eye out for these places - just don't want to miss any real good nights when I'm there. That Undercurrent place looks cool, it ever have anything decent on?

Definitely worth it.
Btw, pretty much every dance oriented event is on here: http://partyflock.nl/party/

You could also just go to Dekmantel festival, best line up I've seen so far. Will only be a few thousand tickets though.

Yeah, been a while since I work Thursdays now, but have had some good times there. Might actually make it this week since I've got the night off

Bump

Going out 2 weeks on friday :D

Anyone got any reccomendations for decent pubs/bars/clubs/restaurants/coffee shops/museums/attractions/record shops??

It's the Amsterdam Dance Event while we're out there, looks like just about every club has something going on but it's mainly house which isn't really my cup of tea so if anyone knows of anything else with large amounts of bass that would be great.

Also my Mrs said she wants to go to a sex show involving midgets and snakes so if anyone knows where we can find that kind of weirdness let me know

Ruigoord is great. I'm not sure if there's any events on when you're there but if there is you should definitely go. Little review I wrote of it:

http://inorganicaudio.tumblr.com/post/6 ... ugust-2013

Also I found The Grasshopper was over-rated. Music tends to be shitty and far too loud, and the weed was pretty pricey. Baba is my personal favourite coffee shop, central as you like with some great hash. There's a lot of really good Turkish/Argentinian restaurants around too.

Also, don't bother with space cakes. I tried so hard getting stoned off them last time - ate 3 of the fuckers from different places and nothing happened. No idea what they were playing at. Just stick to smokables.

Should be common sense also but don't buy chengaleng off anyone in the street unless you like local anaesthetics and "misc".

Oh, and fizzy Lipton's Ice Tea. Heavenly tackle.

One of my favorite coffee shops is Grey Area, pretty small and not the best to sit in, but their stuff's great
